During one week sculptors from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Russia were working on their creations. The work was raveled by rainy weather that was in Perm during last days. But the rain didn’t stop the art process, and its result went beyond the expectations.

Innovation of the festival is a sculpture from hay. Till the end those objects were a puzzle for the spectators, and for the organizers. A difficult technology and multiple stages of creating the art-objects from hay didn’t even make any inkling on the final result. Whereas in work with sand the spectators could follow from the very beginning how complex art images become visible. Last Saturday the sculptors made their last strokes in the sculptures, and by evening the exposition sites were opened for the spectators. Another event of the festival within the “Saturday on the Riverwalk” was a master-class in hay-sculptures. The master-class arose high interest of people of different ages: children and adults were active in work, and as a result each participant left the master-class with a figure made of hay that they’ve done themselves.

The Saturday evening of the festival finished by presenting diplomas to its main heroes. Each of the sculptors got a diploma for participation in the festival, the diplomas were given by the deputy head of the Administration of Perm L.A. Gadzhieva, and head of the Department of culture and youth policy of the Perm city Administration V.M. Torchinskiy.

The format of the festival “Art Season” found out to be very interactive: numerous audience, walking along the riverwalk, unknowingly was involved into the art process. Working very closely to the spectators, the sculptors were “bombarded” with questions about materials and process of creating the art-objects. The main step of the festival is finished, the “Art Season” is going on. The finished sculptors that became part of the renewed riverwalk, will gladden the permians and guests of the city till the end of Summer. The spectators have to choose the best sculpture of the festival. To do that one can visit the group of the project “Saturday on the Riverwalk” in the social network “Vkontakte” https://vk.com/subbota_na_naberegnoy

The organizers of the festival are Nonprofit Fund of Sculptors of Russia “Edinenie” and MUIC “PermPark”, with support of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation, and Department of culture and youth policy of the Perm city Administration.
