From 18 through to 25 November 2013 Salekhard hosted a qualification tour of the Cup of Russia for Snow and Ice Sculpture “Zimniy Vernissage” in category “Ice Sculpture”. The Festival was carried out under the auspices of the Cultural Olympiad “Sochi 2014”, and with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The event was coincided with the Olympic relay race in Salekhard.

The topic of this “Zimniy Vernissage” was ‘Winter Kinds of Sport “Sochi 2014”, it allowed to present an artistic interpretation of freestyle, skiing, figure skating, bobsleigh and sledge, hockey, skating.

The Winners Certificate of the qualification tour of the Cup of Russia for Snow and Ice Sculpture “Zimniy Vernissage” in category “Ice Sculpture” was given to Rashid Sagadeyev, Sergey Potashev for the sculpture «Breathing of a Race». The Certificate gives a right to participate in the Cup of Russia for Snow and Ice Sculpture “Zimniy Vernissage” in 2015 without preliminary competitive selection. The team also received a medal of a winner.
Prize of the Governor of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District went to Chong Ming Yong, Angalan Vasan from Malaysia, they were authors of the sculpture “Harmony”.
Prize of the Mayor of Salekhard was given to the team representing Salekhard and Tarko-Sale – Sergey Korolkov and Sergey Ledkov for the sculpture “Figure Skating. (Preamble in the Ice-Dancing)”
The owners of the Prize of the Chairman of Salekhard City Council became Ivan Smirnov and Mariya Mazunina from Perm, sculpture “Link of Times”.
A composition “A Fly of a Moth: Freestyle Skiing” from Vyacheslav Baryshnikov and Gleb Massalitin who represented the Ukraine, received a special prize from the Fund of Sculptors of Russia “Edinenie”.
All the participants received certifications of participation and souvenirs.

The organizers of the Competition were the Government of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and Non-profit Fund of Sculptors of Russia “Edinenie” with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Non-profit organization “Fund “Collaboration of Yamal”.
